The Best Mother's Day EVER

I had an AWESOME Mother's Day! It seriously was my favorite one EVER. The only thing missing was seeing my mom, but I'll see her on Tuesday and Sunday, so it's all good.

I woke up to our girls running into our room yelling, "SURPRISE!!! HAPPY MOM'S DAY!!"

I felt pretty special. :)

Then Allyson crawled into our bed and cuddled with me for a while. (I love cuddling with my kiddos!)

Then Allyson said, "I'm going to do your hair for mom's day." So, she went and got a brush and brushed my hair while I laid in bed. When she was done, Katelyn decided she wanted to do it too, so she brushed my hair for a little while. It was great. :)

David made an awesome breakfast. Eggs, sausage, bacon, mangos and juice. It was yummy!

Here's Mother's Day present #1 ...

A table and chairs for our patio. And the best part is ... they were FREE!! :) For some reason getting new things is so much more fun when you don't have to pay for it, haha. ;) David's work used to have an outdoor area at an old office they used to be in. At the office they're at now, they don't have an outdoor area, so they were just taking up space inside the office. They were going to throw them out, so David took them. He went to his work at 7am on Mother's Day to pick them up, so he could set it up and surprise me with it when I woke up.

We ate breakfast out on the patio. It was heavenly. The weather was great and I got to enjoy our beautiful view while eating great food with my family outside. Doesn't get much better than that!

The views from our back patio ...

These pictures were taken at night, so it looks a little different than it did when we were out there that morning, but still just as beautiful.

David custom made dividers for our silverware and utensil drawers for my Mother's Day present. I love how it turned out!! It makes me feel happy when I open those drawers to grab things now. I love being organized. :)

Our awesome neighbor, Jack, brought this over that morning ...

It's a cast iron ring for making a fire pit! I don't know that it was meant as a Mother's Day present, but I'll count it as one anyway since it came on Mother's Day. Who wants to come over and roast hotdogs and marshmallows with us?! :)

I LOVE the location of our house. It feels so far away - like we're on a mountain, country get-away everyday, and yet it's still so close to everything. It's perfect for us.

Just sayin'. :)

That night, we had dinner with all of David's family at his sister's house in Orem. It was great food and it was fun to visit for a while, too.

Even though I got peed on at church and had grumpy kids throughout Sacrament meeting, it was still the most perfect Mother's Day ever.
