Lots of Halloween Festivities

We painted pumpkins.

We carved pumpkins.

David and I weren't going to dress up, but then we got invited to a Halloween party. So, we put together some costumes. David was Mr. Fredrickson from the movie "Up" and I was the boyscout, Russell, that tags along with him throughout the movie. I also carried around a dog with the "cone of shame" around his neck. I think it turned out pretty cute! Unfortunately, if I wasn't standing next to David, people had no idea who I was and they probably wondered why I dressed up like a nerdy looking boyscout with a dog for Halloween, lol. I'm excited to come up with something creative next year! ... and this time it will be something where people know who I am. :)

The party was lots of fun!

At the party.

Before we left for the party we had our babysitter take a picture.

We went and did the Heber Creeper halloween train ride. It was our first time doing it ... not terribly exciting, to be honest. It was fun spending time with family, though! I know we took pictures of it on David's phone, but for some reason they disappeared. :(

We had our ward halloween party (I think a couple days before halloween). Forgot to take pictures, though. Dang it!
Halloween night we all dressed up one last time and went to trick or treat the neighborhood. In our last neighborhood in Eagle Mountain, we didn't get hardly any trick or treaters. I was SO EXCITED this year thinking we would get more trick or treaters in our new neighborhood. Well ... I thought wrong. We got 2 trick or treaters. Yes, ... TWO!!! Sad :( Definitely won't be buying the costco size bags of candy next year. After we got home with our loot, I baked some different flavored pumpkin seeds ... they turned OK.

October was a fun month!!

Hiking Stewart Falls

Those of you who know me well, know that fall is my most favorite season!! I LOVE all the pretty colors, the crisp air, the smell, and wearing light jackets - AND it's still warm enough to wear flip flops. :) I probably spend more time outside during the fall than I do in the middle of the summer - the weather is just so perfect!

We wanted to enjoy all the fall colors before they were gone, so we hiked to Stewart Falls the last week the lift was open at Sundance. We were going to go on that weekend, but the forecast said it was going to rain, so David took work off one day and we found a sitter for Katelyn and Kyler and took Allyson to go do it with us. It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! We rode the lift up to the top and then hiked back down to Stewart Falls and then back down to Sundance. Of course we had to get cookies at the bakery before we left. ;)

That night we roasted hotdogs and marshmallows in our backyard with the rest of the kids.
