We had our own little family celebration on the day of her birthday. We let her open some of her presents that day and we let her choose what she wanted to go do ... She chose Trafalga. We got there and it was more packed than we had ever seen it, several of the rides were broken, she was wearing flip flops so she couldn't climb the rock wall, the A/C was broken inside the building and it was hotter in there than it was outside (which meant crowds of sweaty, stinky people all mooshed together in a tiny building ... ew.), and the token machine was broken so we couldn't play any of the arcade games.
Awesome.
We left shortly after arriving and Allyson was pretty bummed about it. We let her pick something else to go and do and she picked going to the park. We could certainly do that! We didn't get any pics at the park, but we all had fun while there. I think we ate out that night for dinner too, but I don't remember where we went.
The following weekend, we had all of the family over for a party. I think the hoola hooping was the highlight of the night! Do you remember being able to hoola hoop awesomely well when you were a kid?
Me too.
I bet if you picked up a hoola hoop today you wouldn't be able to do it anymore ... Seriously, try it! None of us "used to be pro" hoola hoopers could keep the thing going. It was fun trying, though.
